Amtrak's P32AC-DM locos in series 700-709 were built by GE in 1995. They
are 4-axle 3200 hp, 2387 kW diesel electrics capable of operating in full
electric mode from the New York City suburban 3rd rail system into Grand
Central. Top speed is 110 mph, 177 km/h. 714 departs Aldershot West with VIA train 97 to Niagara Falls continuing to New York City "Maple Leaf" on Saturday June 24th, 2006. |
