ex-Rio Grande K36 #487 has exited the narrows and its reflection is caught in a snow run-off pond as it hauls the morning train towards Loboto trestle and Cumbres Summit in June 1997.

The Cumbres & Toltec RR is jointly owned by the states of Colorado and New Mexico and is now operated by a company run by the Friends of the C&TS.
