Connex South Central Class 421/4 has one driving trailer composite
re-classified to all second and the other one is reduced to 3 First class

but still retains the 6 seat configuration. The unit has a single
intermediate motor brake second rated at 740kw, 992 hp and a maximum speed
of 90 mph, 145 km/h.
Connex South Central 421/4 1847 departs southbound from East Croydon on Tuesday June 8, 1999. This view shows the driving trailer composite 76630 with only 3 of the original 4 First class compartments. The two red roller blinds in the headcode panel serve as end of train markers.
