UK Class 166 3-car diesel units using hydraulic transmissions in service with Thames Trains. Built by ABB in York between 1992 & 1993. The sets are formed with driving motor composites at each end with a motor second between them. All 3 coaches are powered by a Perkins 260 kW diesel and they each ride on 1 powered and 1 non-powered bogie. The 3-car unit is rated at 780 kW, 1050 hp, have a top speed of 90 mph, 146 km/h and seat 32 first class and 243 second class passengers
