Freightliner 57002 heads through Basingstoke station.

Class 57 diesel electrics were produced between 1997 & 2000 by the re-motoring of Brush 47s with a new General Motors 1860 kW, 2500 hp diesel. The work was carried at by Brush at the same plant that built them in the 60s. Top speed is 75 mph, 121 km/h.
