Budapest has an extensive system of trams lines numbered between 1 and 69 with gaps due to line closings over the years.
The lines are standard gauge. UV3 cars
(3350-3474) were built by Ganz in Hungary between 1959 & 1961 as
single-ended cars riding on 2 4-wheel
trucks, they have seating for 22 and a top speed of 60 km/h, 37 mph. They are
powered by 4 electric motors having a combined rating of 148 kW, 198 hp and draw
600 volts from the overhead. 3468 entered service in May 1961. Ganz UV3 car 3468 departs from the stop at Budafoki Elágazás with a southbound 47 service on Friday April 30th, 2004. |
