1350 stopping at Roosevelt ter

Budapest has an extensive system of trams lines numbered between 1 and 69 with gaps due to line closings over the years. The lines are standard gauge. CSMG.2 cars of series 1301-1370 were built by Ganz in Hungary between 1967 & 1971 as double-ended 8 axle articulated cars with seating for 32 and standing room for 171 and a top speed of 60 km/h, 37 mph. They are powered by 4 electric motors having a combined rating of 264 kW, 354 hp and draw 600 volts from the overhead.
1350 entered service in December 1970 and in September 1997 was fitted with Ansaldo chopper controls and reclassified as KCSV7.

Ganz 1350 arrives at Roosevelt tér with a northbound number 2 on Wednesday May 14th, 2003. 1350 has just climbed the grade up from the underpass for the Chain Bridge (Széchenyi lánchid).
