GWR 1930s roundell style station seat

The Great Western Railway opened Bodmin General station in 1887 at the end of a branchline from Bodmin Road on the mainline. Passenger services ended in 1967 and the line was closed to freight in 1983. The station was reopened in 1986 under preservation by the Bodmin and Wenford Railway.

Bodmin General station on Thursday, May 8th, 2008. In the 1930s the GWR created this roundel for their publicity purposes and used it in for their station seats.
