There were 1155 class SM42 locomotives built by Bumar-Fablok between 1965 & 19992. Also referred to as type 6D, it is a diesel-electric Bo-Bo rated at 590 kW, 791 hp with a top speed of 90 km/h, 56 mph. They were designed for light mixed traffic working and for shunting.
