Montreal Loco Works was the Canadian Subsidiary of
The American Loco Works of Schenectady, NY.
Founded in 1904, it was 80% Canadian owned by the late 50s.
In 1969 MLW purchased the engineering designs of Alco Products.
Bombardier purchased control of MLW in 1975.
