| The are 4 8-car ICE sets built for service between
Amsterdam-Cologne-Frankfurt (Main) services and are based upon the DB 406
sets and are numbered in the 406 series although classed as 4650. The units
can run on 1500, 3000, 15,000 & 25,000 volts. They seat 98 first class
and 342 second class passengers, are rated at 8000 kW, 10,730 hp with a
top speed of 330 km/h, 205 mph. 406 051-3 was built by ADtranz in October 2000 (serial number 174519). NS ICE set headed by 406 051-3 at Köln Hbf. with train ICE 226 (07:29 Frankfurt Hbf to Amsterdam Centraal) on Friday, June 17th, 2011. |
