I was born in Eastbourne, England. Our family moved to Canada in 1957. I retired in January 1997 after 32 years with the Ford Motor Co. of Canada. Since retiring I have earned both a Business Internet and a webmaster certificate from Mohawk College in Hamilton. I curl in the winter at Glendale Golf and Country Club which was founded in 1919 and play golf in the summer at Dunnville Golf & Country Club, founded in 1924. I was volunteer in the CAT Scan unit of McMaster University Hospital for 10 years before moving to the emergency room of the Dunnville War Memorial Hospital. My interests include trains and public transit around the world, especially in the UK, Europe and North America. I have been a member of preservation groups supporting both the Bluebell Railway, and Worth Valley Railway in the UK and the Friends of the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic Railway in New Mexico/Colorado. I am the past webmaster to the East Sussex Omnibus Society (formerly the Eastbourne Omnibus Society) and I have an interest in the 1950's era buses of Southdown Motor Services as well as the London Transport Executive, East Kent Road Car Company and Maidstone & District Traction Company. |
