M42 001 at Sopron.

GySEV (Györ-Sopron-Ebenfurthi Vasút) is primarily owned by the governments of both Austria & Hungary and also has running rights over MÁV trackage into Budapest from Györ.
Bo-Bo diesel electric M42 001 was acquired second-hand from MÁV which accounts for it still carrying their red diesel livery. It was built by Ganz-Hunslet in 1994 and is rated at 640 kW, 858 hp and has a top speed of 80 km/h, 50 mph

M42 001 runs into platform 1 at Sopron on Tuesday May 13th, 2003. Sopron is an International station for passengers arriving from Austria and this fence separates platform 1 (IC trains from Austria) from platform 2.
