The Graz-Köflacher Bahn und Busbetrieb GmbH (GKB) operates trains on a network to the west and southwest of Graz. The lines are Graz-Lieboch-Köflach and Lieboch-Wies/Eibiswald. They have their own station in Graz as well as using the Graz Hauptbahnhof.

DH 1500.1 (15001-1) was built by Jenbacher (serial number 3.750-001) in November 1975. It is a B-B diesel hydraulic rated at 1120 kW, 1500hp and has a top speed of 100 km/h, 62 mph.
