Mk45 2001 is a B-B diesel hydraulic built by 23rd August Locomotive Works of Bucharest, Romania in 1973. Output is 331 kW, 444 hp and maximum speed 40 km/h, 25 mph although trains are restricted to much slower speeds. 

Train 314 departs János-hegy station as the switch-tender salutes Mk45 2001, on "Republic Day", Thursday October 23rd, 2003.
