RhB 630 at Landquart

Rhätische Bahn is a metre gauge railway network in southeastern Switzerland running from junctions with the SBB at Landquart and Chur to St. Moritz and Davos. This part of their system is electrified at 11,000 volts.

Locomotive 630 is a Ge4/4 II introduced from 1973. It rides on 2 4-wheel trucks (4 powered axles, hence 4/4) with a power rating of 1700 kW, 2280 hp and a top speed of 90 km/h, 56 mph..

630 "Trun" has just arrived at Landquart with train RE340 (10:42 from Scoul-Tarasp) on Friday May 16th, 2003.  Steuerwagen 1751 was leading and controlling 630.
