HÉV 1132 departs from Arpád Híd station

MXa electric units were built in East Germany for Budapest's suburban railway from 1975. They run in 3 car units (driving motor units at each end with a centre non-powered unit fitted with 2 pantographs) without connections between coaches. They are rated at 400 kW, 536 hp and have a top speed of 70 km/h, 43 mph. The 3 car unit seats 168 2nd class passengers.
Unit 1132 was built in March 1983.
