ITL is based in Dresden and provides passenger and freight services in addition to infrastructure work.
Locomotive 106 001 is a type V60 0-8-0 diesel hydraulic built by LEW in November 1965 (serial number 11019) and was originally numbered V60 1301. In 1970 it was renumbered 106 301-5 until the 1992 re-unification renumbering when it became 346 301-5. It was withdrawn in January 1995 and eventually passed to ITL. It is rated at 478 kW, 640 hp with a top speed of 60 km/h, 37 mph.
