The DB class 185 are dual voltage (15 kV & 25kV) versions of class 145. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at 4200 kW, 5630 hp and have a top speed of 140 km/h, 87 mph. The class was introduced in 2000 primarily for freight work.
This locomotive was built by ADtranz (works number 33411) in July 2001.
