180 014-3 entering Berlin Ostbahnhof.

The DB class 180 consist of 20 dual voltage electrics, able to run on the 15,000 volt AC in Germany plus the 3000 volt DC systems in the Czech Republic and Poland. The locomotives were built by Skoda in what was Czechoslovakia between 1988 & 1991 for the DDR as their class 230. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at 3080 kW, 4130 hp with a top speed of 120 km/h, 75 mph.
This locomotive was built by CKD (builder's number 8795) in April 1991 and originally numbered 230 014-3 and became 180 014-3 under the 1992 renumbering scheme.

180 014-3 runs through Berlin Ostbahnhof  in a non-platform track with a westbound empty stock bearing window stickers for EC44 on Wednesday May 7th, 2003. It is well after18:00 and EC44 from Warsaw was due to set down passengers at 17:17, so this working remains a bit of a mystery.
