155 127-4 at Wismar

This class of 273 heavy freight locomotives, rated at 7240 hp / 5400 kW were built between 1974 and 1984 as the DDR class 250. Co-Co trucks. 15,000 volts. 125 km/h, 77 mph. . They were built by LEW Hennigsdorf in Berlin which has subsequently been a subsidiary of Daimler-Chrysler and from 2001 a division of Bombardier.
This locomotive was built by LEW Hennigsdorf (works number 16718) in November 1980 as 250 127-8 and became 155 127-4 under the 1992 re-numbering scheme.
