113 312-3 in orientrot livery

4960 hp / 3700 kW built from 1962. Bo-Bo trucks. 15,000 volts ac with a top speed of 160 km/h, 100 mph.. These locos were originally DB class 112 and were higher speed versions of class 110 for TEE and Intercity trains. The class was re-designated 113 to make room for the ex-DDR 212 which became DB 112 upon unification of the two Germanys.

113 312-3 in orientrot livery was stabled in a loco siding at the west end of Nürnberg Hbf on Thursday September 19, 2002.
