These two car units (motor unit and a driving trailer) are powered by a single 485 kW, 650 hp diesel using a hydraulic transmission to drive both axles in the trailing truck (2-B+2-2). with a top speed of 120 km/h, 75 mph. They were built from 1992 onwards and seat 12 first class and 112 second class passengers. 309 sets were built by AEG, Duewag and LHB and two sets are in service with Luxembourg Railways.

Steuerwagen 928 410-0 and Dieseltriebwagen 628 410-3 at Marktredwitz on Wednesday September 18th, 2002. I believe this set was working the Pegnitz shuttle service. Passengers on platform 3 are awaiting the arrival of train RE3077 (13:50 Nuremberg -Zwickau).
