These two car units are powered by a 410 kW, 550 hp diesel using a hydraulic transmission with a top speed of 120 km/h, 75 mph. They were built from 1986 onwards and seat 10 first class and 112 second class passengers. 150 sets of the -2 series were built by MBB, Duewag and LHB.
