These three car units are powered by a pair of diesel engines totaling
662 kW, 887 hp using a
hydraulic transmission and a top speed of 120 km/h, 75 mph. They were
built starting in 1964. These units are not air conditioned and
feature large opening windows. This unit was built by Waggonfabrik Uerdingen AG, Krefeld-Uerdingen ( works number 71839) in 1966 as VT24 673 and was renumbered in 1968 to 624 673-0. 624 673-0 arrives at Berlin Lichtenberg on Saturday, May 10th, 2003. |
