EKO (EKO Transportgesellschaft mbH) leases this locomotives from Rhenus
Rail Logistics GmbH (formerly Bahngesellschanft Waldorf) for use in
hauling heating oil trains. Diesel-electric 2950 HP/ 2200 kW built between
1973 & 1982 in the Soviet Union for the DDR as class 132. C-C trucks.
Top Speed 120 km/ph, 75 mph. Nicknamed "Ludmillas". The locomotive was built by Lugansk in April 1974 as DR 132 057-1, later to become DB 232 057-0. EKO DE300.02 (ex 232 057-0) hauls an oil train along the freight line adjacent to the passenger station at Frankfurt (O) on Friday May 9th, 2003. |
