Class 294.5 Bo-Bo shunters were re-built from class 290 between 1995 to 1997 and re-engined
with a 1000 kW (1340 hp) diesel engine. They have
hydraulic transmissions and a top speed of 80 km/h, 50 mph. This loco was built by MaK in July 1968 as 290 115-5, it was fitted with remote control in December 1999 and renumbered 294 115-1. In August 2005 it was fitted with a 1000 kW diesel and renumbered 294 615-0 294 615-0 shunting at Plauen on Monday April 24th, 2006. |
