Class 225 are basically class 215 diesels with the steam heating removed. They share a common body style with the 217 & 218 classes. Class 225 are rated at 1415 kW, 1900 hp and have a top speed of 140 km/h, 87 mph.
225 021-5 was re-classified in April 2003 and had previously been numbered 215 021-7. It was built by Krupp in March 1970 (serial number 5042).
