These locomotives were originally ordered by the DDR as class 212 and became DB subclass 112.0 and when allocated, in April 2000, to regional railway became class 114 and are used primarily on the push-pull trains between Magdeburg-Berlin-Frankfurt(Oder).
This locomotive was built by LEW-Hennigsdorf (works number 20460) in October 1990 as 112 002-1.
