CD class 749 diesels were rebuilt from 1992 onwards with electric train heat from the class 751 which originated in1965. Both classes are diesel electrics rated at 1102 kW, 1477 hp and have a top speed of 100 km/h, 62 mph.
This loco was built in 1969 as 752 031-5 (serial number 7398) and was converted in November 1995 to 749 258-0.

749 258-0 at Ústí had Labem západ with train R695 (15:19 to Liberec) on Friday September 7th, 2007. Construction at the hl n required this train to reverse towards Praha before continuing towards Decín and Liberec.
