Class 742 Bo-Bo Diesel Locomotive

 Class 742 are diesel electrics rated at 883 kW with a top speed of 90 km/h, 56 mph.  The class was introduced in 1978 for freight and shunting duties although some are used for light passenger work.
742 101-9 was built by ČKD in October 1978 (serial number 10498) as T466.2101 and was renumbered in 1988.

742 101-9 heads a freight past Ostrava main station on Saturday October 2nd, 2004.
