CD Class 742 Photos

Class 742 are diesel electrics rated at 883 kW, 1184 hp with a top speed of 90 km/h, 56 mph. There were 453 of these locomotives built by ČKD between 1977 & 1986. The later built units are fitted with multiple unit controls. Designed as a freight locomotive, they are also used in light passenger duties.
