Class 742 are diesel electrics rated at 883 kW, 1184 hp with a top speed of
90 km/h, 56 mph. The class was
introduced in 1978 for freight and shunting duties although some are
used for light passenger work. This loco was built by ČKD (serial number 12165) in October 1982 as T466.2250 and was renumbered in 1988. 742 264-5 passing Libčice nad Vltavou with train Sp1710 (16:12 Praha Masarykovo to Louny) on Thursday, April 16th, 2009. |
