Class 742 are diesel electrics rated at 883 kW, 1184 hp with a top speed of
90 km/h, 56 mph. The class was
introduced in 1978 for freight and shunting duties although some are
used for light passenger work. 742 180-3 was built by ČKD in June 1979 (serial number 10880) as T466.2180 and was renumbered in 1988. 742 180-3 at Chlumec nad Cidlinou with train Sp1871 (13:33 to Trutnov hl n) on Monday, September 10th, 2009. |
