Class 742 Bo-Bo Diesel Locomotive

Class 742 are diesel electrics rated at 883 kW, 1184 hp with a top speed of 90 km/h, 56 mph.  The class was introduced in 1978 for freight and shunting duties although some are used for light passenger work.
This loco was built in October 1977 by ČKD (serial number 9970) as T466.2007  and was renumbered in 1988 as 742 007-8.
