CD Class 162 Photos

Class 162 (Bo-Bo) were built by Škoda in 1991 as a higher speed version of class 163. There are 24 members of the class with CD.
These Bo-Bo locomotives are rated at 3480 kW, 4665 hp and have a top speed of 140 km/h, 87 mph.
There were originally 60 built, but between 1993 and 2001, some locomotives donated their bogies to convert class 363 to 362 and they acquired the 363 bogies (lower speed gearing) and became class 163.200 series.
