Czech Class 150 DC Electrics

Class 150 were designed in 1978 as 140 km/h, 87 mph electrics to replace class 141 on the fastest trains between Praha and Ostrava and eastern Slovakia. There were 27 built by Škoda and they are rated at 4000 kW, 5362 hp. From 1996 to 2003, 13 locomotives were rebuilt to class 151 with a higher top speed.
