Class 122 were built by Škoda from 1967 and are rated at 2040 kW, 2735 hp with a top speed of 90 km/h, 56 mph. They are a development of the class 121 with weight reduced by 3 tonnes to 85t and were intended for freight work on the North Bohemian lines. There were 55 locomotives built.
