The Peace Tower was started in 1919 when Edward, Prince of Wales laid the cornerstone and it
300 feet high. It has a room of remembrance where books of those who died in service to the
country are listed and pages are turned daily. The tower also feature a clock which strikes
on the quarter-hours, half-hours and hours plus a 53 bell carillon. This is an enclosed
viewing platform seen just below the clock faces.
