Palazzo Balbi
Monday afternoon May  13th, 2002.

The Palazzo Balbi as seen from a San Marco bound vaporetto. The palace was built for Nicolo Balbi who died from a chill caught while watching the construction. It was from this balcony in 1807 that Napoleon viewed  the regatta held in his honour. It is now a regional government building.
