Town Hall & Blue Tower
This view was taken from the side of the church towards the town hall and Blauer Turm (Blue Tower). The tower dates from around 1200 and originally was the keep for the west side of the Staufen Imperial Palace and was used as a watchtower well into the 19th century. The town hall is a relatively recent building dating from 1836 and replaced a late medieval half timbered structure.
Photographed on Tuesday evening, May 4th, 2004.
