Class 5047 Single Car Diesel Unit

The 5047 class was built by Jenbacher from 1987 onwards as a 62 seater
second class diesel railcar for secondary services over the
non-electrified sections of the ÖBB. The units ride on 2 4-wheel trucks
with both axles of one powered by a 419 kW, 562 hp diesel using a
hydraulic transmission to produce a top speed of 120 km/h, 75 mph. 5047 005-3 with 5047 003-8 will form the 14:12 departure to Markt St. Aegyd am Neuwalde from St Pölten on Wednesday September 25th, 2002. |
