Class 5047 Single Car Diesel Unit

The 5047 class was built by Jenbacher from 1987 onwards as a 62 seater
second class diesel railcar for secondary services over the
non-electrified sections of the ÖBB. The units ride on 2 4-wheel trucks
with both axles of one powered by a 419 kW, 562 hp diesel using a
hydraulic transmission to produce a top speed of 120 km/h, 75 mph. 5047 082-2 was built by Jenbacher Werke (serial number J399-084) in September 1993. 5047 082-2 waits at Attnang-Puchheim with train R3483 (15:22 to Schärding) on Monday October 27th, 2003. |
