Class 5047 Single Car Diesel Unit

The 5047 class was built by Jenbacher from 1987 onwards as a 62 seater
second class diesel railcar for secondary services over the
non-electrified sections of the ÖBB. The units ride on 2 4-wheel trucks
with both axles of one powered by a 419 kW, 562 hp diesel using a
hydraulic transmission to produce a top speed of 120 km/h, 75 mph. 5047 015-2 was built by Jenbacher Industries (serial number J3995.015) in July 1988. 5047 015-2 run empty through St Pölten Hauptbahnhof on Thursday May 15th, 2003. |
