ÖBB Class 1142 were modified from class 1042 from 1995 onwards by the
fitting of push-pull equipment, and raising the top speed. These are Bo-Bo locomotives rated at
4000 kW, 5360 hp and have a top speed of 150 km/h, 93 mph. They weigh 82.5 metric
tonnes. This locomotive was built by SGP (works number 70033) in November 1973 as 1042.624 which became 1042 626-5. It was fitted for push-pull operation in April 1998 and renumbered 1142 624-4. 1142 624-4 at Innsbruck Hbf on Thursday September 20th, 2001. |
