The ÖBB is electrified at 15,000 Volts AC; however, the class 1014 can also operate from 25,000 volt overhead in Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. These locomotives are rated at 3000 kW and have a top speed of 170 km/h.
Some are operated in the CAT (Vienna Airport Express) livery.
