Hornell, NY on the evening of Sunday September 23rd, 1973. This photo was taken while returning from a NMRA Regional convention in Ithaca, NY .

GP7s were 1500 hp, B-B locomotives built by EMD in LaGrange , Illinois. This loco was built in September 1952 as Erie RR #1240, Erie Lackawanna #1240 and eventually Conrail 5978.
