Alco RS3s. 1026 was built in April 1951 as Erie 1026 and subsequently became Contrail 5246. 1031 (left) was built as Erie 1031 in July 1952 and never carried a Conrail number. These locomotives rode on B-B trucks and were rated at 1600 hp.

Hornell, NY on Sunday evening,  September 23rd, 1973 . The photo was taken while returning from a NMRA NFR Regional convention in Ithaca, NY.
