6592 is a 3000 hp, 2238 kW GE C30-7A Co-Co diesel built in June 1984 (serial
number 44581) which later became NS 8105. 6640 is a 3600 hp, 2686 kW GE C36-7 Co-Co diesel built in June 1985 (serial number 45035) which later became CSXT 7125. 6444 is a 3000 hp, 2238 kW EMD SD40-2 Co-Co diesel built September 1978 (serial number 786148-4) later becoming NS 3378. Rear loco 6657 is a 3600 hp, 2686 kW EMD SD45-2 Co-Co built in November 1972 (serial number 7381-4) originally EL 3672 and following Conrail's break up it became CSXT 8973. 4 locomotives assist in slowing this eastbound coal train down the grade through Horseshoe Curve in June 1986. Next to the caboose are 2 GE locos 6592 & 6640 followed by 6444 & 6657. |
