| Altstätten Stadt Station is the southern terminus of the Appenzeller Bahn and a 6 minute bus ride from the SBB station. This part of the line is rack operated and a small monument is seen just in front of the train featuring a geared wheel on a section of rack-rail. Photographed on Monday April 26th, 2004. |
